#94: Tessa Kim Veil Giveaway!

OH. MY. GOODNESS.

If there was one day that I could switch places with my readers, it would be today.

Why? You might ask? Because I could be eligible for this giveaway if I were one of my readers. I could be lucky enough to win this fan-freaking-tastic mini birdcage veil.

You see, being a thrifty bride-to-be means that I like getting things free.  Obviously.  But, alas, my lovelies… I’m not one of my readers, so I can’t reap the benefits of this killer giveaway.  But, that’s good for you – you’re up against one less veil-hungry bride.

So.  Are you a thrifty bride-to-be too? Do you have your dress, shoes, accessories? Are you just like me and think it’s absolutely ridiculous to pay hundreds of dollars for a veil?  You’re in luck.  Tessa Kim and I are coming to your rescue (insert your deep sigh of relief here).

So, here are the deets.  Tessa herself, from Tessa Kim Birdcage Veils & Accessories, has agreed to give one of my lovely readers a custom mini tulle birdcage veil OR the mini standard birdcage veil… in the color of your choice!

In all seriousness, Tessa is absolutely awesome and so insanely talented.  She started making custom veils and hair pieces when she got married in August of 2009, and her work has been a huge hit ever since.  Every single piece is handmade to order; check out her look book, her stuff is absolutely stunning.

Here’s what you’ve gotta do to get your grubby little thrifty paws on this beauty:

To enter, you must leave a comment on this post telling Tessa and I why you want to win this veil.

For additional entries:

The giveaway will run until Wednesday, January 26th at 3pm.  A winner will be picked at random and notified via email (so make sure to plug in your email address when you leave a comment).

Ideally, I would love to feature the winner’s Big Day (complete with your new spiffy veil) on the blog; so I’d love it if you’d be open to a real wedding feature if you win.

May the best, most veil-hungry bride win!

Best of luck, lovelies!

I would really love to win this veil! Ive been looking all over and haven’t come across any that are as BEAUTIFUL as yours! It would be the absolute perfect compliment to my customized Dolly Couture vintage pin up dress! Especially next to my soon to be hubby’s zoot suit! :) . I’d really like it in black to compliment accents in my dress and leopard shoes. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed!

I would love to win this vil. I think it is gorgeous and would look amazing with my wedding dress. My fiance and I don’t have alot of money for our wedding and with no one willing to help us out, it’ll be tight. Anything extra would be an amazing gift to us. Thank you for the opportunity to enter this contest.

A beautiful birdcage veil would be just the thing to accent my lace vintage gown I’ll be wearing in my wedding this June! My hair will be pulled back in a low bun with some beautiful blue hydrangeas in the bun and I know a birdcage veil would complete the look!

I would be so honored to win this veil, my fiance and I are trying to pay for most everything ourselves, I’m a full time student and just got laid off from my job. I have tons of hand me down and would love something new and wonderful for my special day..

I am just getting started and 10K is my budget. We are focusing on buying local whenever possible and from individual artists, not huge companies. I would LOVE to build my wedding attire around your beautiful birdcage veil. I am planning a vintage wedding at an Armory/Castle in New York.

A gorgeous, feathery, scrumptious veil all for me? For free? It can’t be!
A veil, although a small accessory, is hugely important. It can be a nod to tradition, a family heirloom, or the topper to a perfect outfit on your perfect day.
My fiance and I are paying for our wedding entirely on our own and trying to make it scream US! It’s hard to scream “ROCK STAR CHIC” on a tight budget – every penny counts.
These veils are splendid and having one nestled in my hair would accentuate all other aspects of our Autumn wedding.
A intricate veil, perched on top of my head – just a little bling, a little thing to make me smile and feel lovely. And knowing it was free and made just for me…. well that would make it even better!

I would love to win this birdcage veil by Tessa Kim — her veils are the first I saw when I started looking and I knew I needed to have one! My fiance and I are paying for our entire wedding ourselves and we just moved across the country — this would help out! This blog is a great source of inspiration for me!

I absolutely HAVE to win the mini standard birdcage veil PLEEEEEEEEASE!!!
I am from the UK and have a budget of just £2k for my wedding in July this year, I have spent the past 4 hours searching for a birdcage veil in order to hit my dress off with a bit of class, then stumbled across this site. It would literally make my day (my BIG BIG BIG DAY!!) amazing :-)

I would love to have a birdcage veil! My wedding theme is 1950s and I’m wearing my grandmother’s headpiece from 1953! My mother has a cathedral length veil I can wear, but I think birdcage veils fit the period far better! Thanks!

I have tried several times to DIY a veil and I still have not been able to make one that I like. I would like to win this veil to end my DIY frustrations!

I want to win this veil so I can do a veil change in between ceremony & reception! I’m wearing a formal, cathedral length veil during our ceremony in a Catholic church, so it would be fun to don a birdcage one for the reception :)

Reasons why I would love to win:
A) I’m getting married outside and with a birdcage veil I wil still have the look of a veil without the extra fabric blowing around and being a nuisance. B) I’ve very close to going over my budget and winning my veil would really help me stay on budget.
C) Tessa Kim’s viels and headpieces are absolutely beautiful!!

Thanks!!
