#279: Honeymoon Pillow Giveaway from Hot Heads!

Ariel is the sister of one of my favorite people in the world. In college, there were 6 of us. In one combination or another, we were almost always together. There were two Emilys, a Nate, an Erik, a Mike, and me. These folks are some of the best folks I know. Some of my favorite people ever. Anyway, I digress.

Ariel is Nate’s sister. Nate married one of the Emilys. Not that that matters, but… wanted to give you some background.

Anyway. When I found out that Ariel and her mom started this business, I had to know more. Such a cute, fun idea… so I’m glad Ariel reached out and wanted to partner up… and how better to get the word out about Hot Heads, than with a GIVEAWAY?! Woo. We love giveaways. So… turning it over to Ariel:

Most people would cringe at that moment you realize you are becoming your mother, but I embraced it! Probably because she is one of the coolest ladies I know and one of my closest friends. We share so many loves in life: decorating, hot tea (no sugar, thank you), finding a good deal, and a successful new recipe, just to name a few. But it was from our love for crafting and the beach that Hot Heads Inc. was born.

It is rare day to walk into mine or my mom’s house and not find the latest project strewn about on the dining room table (apparently another trait I inherited). We are always working on something… Then, with our annual beach vacation to the Outer Banks, NC coming up, it hit me! We need to make pillows to lie on the beach with! Enough of rolling up my beach cover-up to try and create an impromptu pillow; I wanted the real deal for my ocean-side naps.

The very next weekend out came the sewing machines, fabric and doodle pads… and we had our first beach pillow.

Instantly, we knew we had something. With access to a manual silk-screen machine (compliments of the Owner of CCI Screenprinting, Inc . – thanks, Dad ), we set out to create a few simple designs to share with family and friends.
